Article 1(Purpose) #
The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters delegated by the Institute for the Translation of Korean Classics Act and matters necessary for the enforcement thereof.
Article 2(Composition of Classical Translation Committee) #
(1) The Classical Translation Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") under Article 11(1) of the Institute for the Translation of Korean Classics Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") shall consist of not more than 15 members, including 1 chairperson.
(2) Members of the Committee shall be appointed by the president of the Institute for the Translation of Korean Classics (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute") from among those recommended or designated under Article 11(2) of the Act.
(3) The term of office for appointed members shall be 2 years; they may be reappointed; the term of office for a member who is a public official shall be the period of his or her service in the post.
Article 3(Operation of Committee) #
(1) The chairperson of the Committee shall represent the Committee and oversee its business.
(2) The chairperson of the Committee shall convene meetings of the Committee and preside over the meetings.
(3) The Committee shall open its meetings with the attendance of a majority of the members on the register and make resolutions with the affirmative vote of a majority of those present.
(4) Members who attend meetings of the Committee may be paid allowances and travel expenses within the scope of the budget; this shall not apply where it is directly related to the duties of a member who is a public official.
(5) Matters necessary for the operation of the Committee other than those prescribed in this Decree shall be determined by the chairperson, following a resolution by the Committee.
Article 4(Executive secretary and clerk of committee) #
(1) The Committee shall have 1 executive secretary and 1 clerk to conduct its business.
(2) The executive secretary and the clerk shall be designated by the chairperson from among the employees of the Institute.
Article 5(Request for budget of contributions) #
The following documents shall be attached to a request for a budget of contributions under Article 13(2) of the Act:
1. A project plan for the following year;
2. An estimated income statement and an estimated balance sheet for the following year;
3. Other documents necessary to clarify the details of the request for a budget of contributions.
Article 6(Gratuitous lease of State-owned property) #
The contents, conditions, and period of transfer, gratuitous lease, and gratuitous use and profit-making of State-owned property under Article 14 of the Act shall be governed by a contract between the management agency of the relevant State-owned property and the Institute.
Article 7(Disposal of surplus) #
If there is any surplus as a result of the settlement of accounts for each business year, the Institute shall use it to cover carried-over losses and carry forward the remainder to the following year.
Article 8(Criteria for imposition of administrative fines) #
The criteria for imposing administrative fines under Article 25(1) of the Act shall be as specified in Appendix.
