Article 1(Purpose) #
The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters mandated by the Support for Female Farmers and Fishers Act and matters necessary for the enforcement thereof.

Article 2(Organizations of female farmers and fishers) #
"Organizations prescribed by Presidential Decree" in subparagraph 4 of Article 2 of the Support for Female Farmers and Fishers Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") means organizations registered under Article 4 of the Assistance for Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organizations Act.

Article 3(Facilities related to female farmers and fishers) #
"Facilities prescribed by Presidential Decree" in subparagraph 5 of Article 2 of the Act means facilities engaged in the following activities:
1. Counseling on grievances for female farmers and fishers;
2. Childcare for infants and toddlers in agricultural and fishing villages under the Child Care Act;
3. After-school tutoring for children in agricultural and fishing villages;
4. Educational and cultural activities for female farmers and fishers.

Article 4(Health checkups for female farmers and fishers) #
(1) The State and local governments shall, under Article 11-3(1) of the Act, conduct health checkups for female farmers and fishers engaged in work exposed to any of the following hazards (referring to factors that cause health impairments to female farmers and fishers during agricultural or fishery work; hereinafter the same shall apply):
1. Pesticides;
2. Dust;
3. Work environments involving repetitive handling of heavy objects;
4. Other hazardous factors prescribed by Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs or Decree of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
(2) Items of the health checkups for female farmers and fishers under paragraph (1) shall be as follows:
1. Radiography;
2. Bone density measurement;
3. Other items prescribed by Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs or Decree of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to prevent diseases with high prevalence among female farmers and fishers.
(3) The State and local governments shall conduct the health checkups for female farmers and fishers under paragraph (1) at least once every 2 years.
(4) Where it is determined that a disease caused by a hazard exists according to the results of the health checkup under paragraph (1), and a physician's opinion suggests that an additional checkup is necessary, the State and local governments may conduct a detailed health checkup for the relevant female farmer or fisher.
(5) Except as provided in paragraphs (1) through (4), matters necessary for conducting health checkups for female farmers and fishers, such as the designation of medical institutions and methods of checkups, shall be prescribed by Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs or Decree of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.

Article 5(Establishment of facilities related to female farmers and fishers) #
If the State and a local government intend to establish facilities related to female farmers and fishers under Article 13(1) of the Act, they shall consider the following:
1. The number of female farmers and fishers;
2. The number of infants, toddlers, and children;
3. The number of childcare, educational, and cultural facilities.

Article 6(Criteria for selecting recipients of operating expense support) #
(1) If the State and a local government intend to provide support for operating expenses to facilities related to female farmers and fishers under Article 13(3) of the Act, they shall consider the following: <Amended on Sep. 24, 2014>
1. Qualifications and career backgrounds of the operators of facilities related to female farmers and fishers;
2. Current status of securing childcare facilities for infants and toddlers and educational and cultural facilities;
3. Operation plans and project performance of facilities related to female farmers and fishers.
(2) Detailed criteria necessary for selecting recipients of operating expense support under paragraph (1) shall be determined and publicly notified by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs or the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries. <Amended on Mar. 23, 2013>
