Article 1(Purpose) #
The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters concerning the organization and operation of the Office of the Hub City of Asian Culture established under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism pursuant to Article 30 of the Special Act on the Development of Asian Cultural Hub City.
Article 2(Functions of the HCAC Office) #
The Office for Hub City of Asian Culture (hereinafter referred to as "HCAC Office") shall perform the following business affairs: <Amended on Aug. 31, 2021>
1. General management and coordination of the Hub City for Asian Culture Project;
2. Establishment and implementation of master plans for the Hub City of Asian Culture;
3. Support for the operation of the Presidential Committee for Hub City of Asian Culture;
4. Support for the National Asian Culture Center;
5. Support from the National Asia Culture Center Foundation
6. Support for fostering cultural industries and promoting the arts in the Hub City of Asian Culture;
7. Formulation and implementation of plans to attract investment for the Hub City of Asian Culture;
8. Support for the promotion of ecological urban culture in the Hub City of Asian Culture;
9. Support for civic cultural education and civic participation in the Hub City of Asian Culture;
10. Other matters necessary for the efficient promotion of the Hub City of Asian Culture Project.
Article 3(Organization of HCAC Office) #
(1) The HCAC Office shall have one head, who shall be appointed by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism from among public officials belonging to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
(2) The head of the HCAC Office shall oversee the operation and business affairs of the HCAC Office and shall direct and supervise the members of the HCAC Office.
Article 4(Operating rules) #
Except as provided in this Decree, matters necessary for the organization and operation of the HCAC Office shall be determined by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
