Article 1(Purpose) #
The purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters delegated by the International Ship Registration Act and those necessary for the enforcement thereof.

Article 2(Ships Eligible for Registration) #
Ships eligible to be registered as international ships pursuant to Article 3 (2) of the International Ship Registration Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") shall be ships of at least 500 gross tonnage and not more than 20 years of age: Provided, That such standards for the age of ship shall not apply to a ship registered with a classification society prescribed in the Ship Safety Act or registered with classification prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, which holds the international convention certificate prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. <Amended on Mar. 23, 2013>

Article 10(Delegation of Authority) #
The Minister of Oceans and Fisheries shall delegate authority over the following duties to the Administrator of a Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries pursuant to Article 11-2 of the Act: <Amended on Mar. 23, 2013; Jan. 6, 2015; Sep. 8, 2015>
1. Registration and modified registration of international ships under Article 4 of the Act;

5. Holding a hearing pursuant to Article 11 of the Act;
